Was scheduled to go to the 2002 world cup with england, but got a stomach upset (or something) just beforehand and so had to pull out, and went on holiday to rome instead. He was in a moped accident while there (not wearing a helmet) and almost died. He’s never been the same since and I was genuinely sad when we let him leave, on a free.
