Have there been any good books on Joyce published recently, say in the last five years or so, since this one? I haven’t been keeping up.

Happy Bloomsday, indeed. For new(er) books on Joyce, I would recommend, Jean Michele Rabate’s “James Joyce and the Politics of Egoism.” I’m impartial, however, because I know the author. In fact, he is the one that first convinced me to take a stab at ULYSSES at a party in Philadelphia. Since then, it remains one of my favorite books and I try to read it every 5 years, or so. If you are ever in Philadelphia on Bloomsday, we MUST go to the celebration at the Rosenbach Library (which has an important ms). Cheers, Kostis Kourelis (Celina Gray’s husband, Jo’s friend, and new fan of the Virtual Stoa)
