I recently contacted Steven Poole for some comment to use in a gaming article and there he is writing that obit of Baudrillard. 

One of my friends is a huge Baudrillard fan and did an amusing joke picture for me (I'm not embarrassed to say it was a "admit Jim Miles to the pseudo-philosophical brat pack" mock ticket) in which he was holding Simulacra and Simulation.

And then here it is mentioned on this blog too.

Not quite "spooky" but still fairly joined up.</description>
