I'm less familiar with the life and work of Du Bois than I am with those of many of the people who appear in the DSW, so in this case I thought I'd let the page I linked to provide the rest of the details, rather than arbitrarily single out The Souls of Black Folk or somesuch.

But yes -- Du Bois's record as an author and founder was quite extraordinary, and insofar as the silences of the entry suggest that he might not have been, my apologies are due.</description>
